Kiev: the helicopter which has broken in Slovakia did not belong to VSU

The Ukrainian helicopter which has broken in Slovakia on November 11, did not belong to armed forces of Ukraine (VSU). It was declared on Friday by the head of the press service of the General Staff of VSU Vladislav Seleznev.

"The army aircraft did not carry out departures", – gives his words Ukrinform agency.

Seleznevs specified that all aviation equipment is on bases.

According to the General Staff of Ukraine, the helicopter fell on Wednesday November 11, but to a place of crash could reach only in two days as failure occurred in a hard-to-reach spot.

Earlier today mass media reported about crash in Slovakia the Ukrainian helicopter therefore six people were lost.

According to the representative of the Zakarpatye regional state administration Yaroslav Galas, in the helicopter there were illegal migrants. Also he added that the crew of the helicopter was Ukrainian. Among victims – four men and two women. Galas specified that failure occurred in 30 km from the Ukrainian border "on the suburb of the city of Mikhaylovtsa – an administrative center of Slovakia".

Earlier the source close to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Slovakia, reported TASS that the broken helicopter belonged to the smugglers who were on its board, trying to transport a large consignment of cigarets to Slovakia. According to tvnoviny.sk portal, failure occurred because the helicopter flied too low.
