The new Ukrainian fighting helicopter on the basis of Mi-2

The Ukrainian company "Motor Sich" (Zaporozhye) presented a sample of the shock Mi helicopter – 2MSB – In with arms of own production which can be in the long term bought on arms of National guard of Ukraine.

The presentation of the helicopter took place at a specialized exhibition «The weapon and safety» which is led in Ukraine.

As they say in the message of the press service of National guard, the exposition «the Motor of Sichi» at an exhibition was the most large-scale.

«The military transport Mi helicopter – 8MSB – In and the easy transport and combat Mi helicopter – 2MSB – In once again showed a high level of development of the Ukrainian aircraft. The modernized Mi – 8MSB – In can transport to 24 military personnel with arms, be used as the sanitary helicopter for 12 wounded persons or for transportation of 3,5 tons of cargo. Also it can be used as the helicopter of fire support of a landing and land forces, for destruction of armor equipment, weapon emplacements and manpower of the opponent», – it is told in the message of security officers.

As Vladimir Semenov, the director for investment projects of JSC Motor Sich, «told new engines with bigger capacity which stand in the upgraded helicopters, allow to expand a range of possibility of this equipment».

Meanwhile, the Ridus edition gives more clear description of new development of the Ukrainian designers:

«On the easy helicopter developed in the USSR, hung blocks of uncontrollable rockets and grenade launchers, and in salon placed a 7,62-millimetric machine gun. Meanwhile, in National guard of Ukraine inform that for today three military transport Mi helicopters – 8MSB – In already are adopted by NG aircraft, and next year as it is supposed, easy Mi-2MSB-century helicopters will be acquired.

Also it should be noted that the previous power of Ukraine was engaged in modernization of helicopters Mi-8MSB and Mi-2МСБ still. For example, autumn of 2012 at that time prime minister Nikolay Azarov declared that these helicopters of the Ukrainian production have chances to enter a foreign market.

«About it speak both the price, and quality, and technical characteristics. The big need for helicopters is and within the country. Therefore we will keep development of our capacities in this segment», – Azarov in November, 2012 declared.
