In Ukraine counted losses from a ban of flights to Russia

The Ukrainian state enterprise of service of air transport (Ukraerorukh) lost 10 million euros because of a ban on flights between Russia and Ukraine. About it to the Ukrainian L_ga.Net edition was reported by Ukraerorukh Dmitry Babeychuk’s director.

«By estimates of our analysts, Ukraerorukh’s losses from already entered sanctions make about 10 million, that is about 11 percent from total sales», – he noted.

Babeychuk added that owing to a possible absolute prohibition of transit flights over the territory of Ukraine (this question is considered by SNBO of Ukraine) the Russian airlines «will not suffer considerable financial losses». «As to Ukraine, in the current economic situation the ban of the remains of transit (and it remains scanty, especially after closing of Egypt) will insignificantly reduce our income», – added it.

The ban on flights of the Russian airlines on Ukraine came into force on October 25. The last flight from Kiev took off for Moscow on October 24 at 20:40 Moscow time.

At the beginning of October Ministry of Transport estimated losses of airlines of Russia and Ukraine from mutual restrictions on flights in 7-8 billion rubles a year.

In September Kiev decided to enter sanctions against Russia because of flights into the Crimea: more than two tens carriers got to a black list, in particular "Aeroflot" and "Transaero". "Utair" appeared the unique large Russian air carrier of which was not mentioned by restrictions. In reply Moscow decided to forbid to fly everything to the Ukrainian airlines to Russia that finally led to a full stop of a direct aircraft service since October 25.
