Slavyansk: attack of the Ukrainian helicopters is qualified as act of terrorism
The Kharkov prosecutor’s office on supervision of observance of laws in the military sphere of the Central region of Ukraine brought data in the Uniform register of pre-judicial investigations upon attack in Donetsk region of the Ukrainian helicopters, and also attacks on a post in Andreevka near Slavyansk (in both cases there are victims among military), reports Interfax Ukraine.
The press service of prosecutor’s office of the Central region of Ukraine on supervision of observance of laws in the military sphere reports that the criminal proceedings are open on h. 3 Art. 258 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (act of terrorism).
On May 2 in Slavyansk the region of Donetsk region two helicopters of Armed forces of Ukraine which carried out patrol, were brought down by means of modern mobile surface-to-air missile systems, noted in the press service.
"Tactics of simultaneous start-up of two rockets on the air target, testifying to vocational military training of separatists was thus used. One more helicopter was fired by means of the automatic weapon", – is told in the message.
Also on May 2 two military personnel was lost during attack at a post in Andreevka. Separatists tried to force out forces of the Anti-terrorist center from a post, being covered with children and elderly people. During negotiation process separatists used firearms because of backs of civilians, two military personnel of the 95th separate airmobile brigade as a result was lost.
As the head of the Anti-terrorist center Vasiliy Krutov reported, 5 people were lost, 12 more are wounded in time of carrying out anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine.
Within days the Kharkov prosecutor’s office on supervision of observance of laws in the military sphere carried out urgent prime investigatory actions on which end on May 3 the specified criminal proceedings are transferred on a podsledstvennost in department of Security service of Ukraine in the Kharkov area for consequence continuation.
