Venezuela will buy 12 fighters Su-30 for 480

The government of Venezuela will allocate 480 million dollars for acquisition of 12 fighters Su-30 of the Russian construction, reports TASS. The head of the military man of department of the country Vladimir Padrino declared intention to increase park of cars of this type on purpose to strengthen the country Air Force. Earlier intention to buy the new party Su-30 was declared by the president of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro.

«The president of the country gave OK to allocation of 480 million dollars that planes of SU could continue to protect the Venezuelan air space» – Padrino told. He noted that the authorities of the country consider necessary to strengthen defense capacity of the republic along with such spheres as health care and education.

«Despite sharp falling of the world prices for oil and economic war against our country, the president understands need of that armed forces were provided (necessary) for a performance of the mission which is ordered them the constitution», – the Minister of Defence of Venezuela emphasized. Now Caracas has 23 fighters Su-30MK2V. 24 such cars were delivered to Venezuela in 2006-2008 within the contract signed in 2005th after by the USA refused technical support of F-16 park of military and air forces of this country.

Before Maduro declared that Caracas intends not only to get 12 new fighters, but also to buy one more car for compensation of loss of the fighter which has broken during patrol of air border with Colombia on September 17, 2015.
