Russia’s powerful and versatile
Mil Mi-17, which was based on the phenomonally successful Mi-8, is a truly great design. The ‘Hip-H’ has much greater power than the earlier machine, producing huge improvements in both hovering performance and single-engine flight. The increased capabilities of the Mi-17 make it even more versatile than the Mi-8 and new versions continue to be produced.
