Iraq received the next party of shock helicopters from the Russian Federation

The Ministry of Defence of Iraq declared on July 2 receiving from Russia the next party of shock helicopters in number of 4 units within the contract signed between the countries.

As it is declared, the put helicopters will be a part of army aircraft and will expand possibilities on counteraction to fighters.

Military department of Iraq did not call type of the received helicopters. Before the Russian Federation several parties already delivered to Baghdad shock Mi-28NE helicopters "Night hunter" and multi-purpose shock Mi-35M helicopters.

The statement of the Ministry of Defence of Iraq was made two days later after in social networks messages on delivery of VS of Iraq Mi-35M parties were shown.

As earlier reported ЦАМТО, according to JSC Rostvertol report, in October, 2012 the contract for delivery of 28 shock Mi-35M helicopters and 15 Mi-28NE was concluded with Iraq.

First four Mi-35M were delivered to Iraq in 2013. Transfer of the first party from three shock Mi-28NE helicopters took place on August 28, 2014. In February, 2015 Iraq received two more Mi-28NE helicopters "Night hunter".

According to information "Shafak news", are delivered at the moment to Iraq 12 Mi-35M helicopters.
