Naval Forces of the USA will accept technology on alteration of helicopters in bespilotnik
Naval Forces of the USA will present new technology which is actually capable to turn the helicopter for delivery of cargoes in a bespilotnik: rotary-wing cars can independently choose a route, a landing and take-off place, reports the Wall Street Journal edition.
«It is really revolutionary technology about what we speak, concerns full-size helicopters, we already tried it, we speak about delivery of cargoes in mass of 5 thousand pounds (about 2,3 tons)», – the rear admiral of the American Naval Forces Matthew Klander declared, reports RIA Novosti news agency.
The new technology was developed in common by the Lockheed Martin Corp companies. and Aurora Flight Sciences for big helicopters of the American Naval Forces. It is supposed that by means of the program the aircraft can independently choose a take off and landing place, change a flight trajectory, depending on conditions on the earth. As notes the edition, by means of such Naval Forces system will easier deliver multiton cargoes to the remote bases.
«As to innovative projects, I cannot call other project which would be more important now for marines, or project which would submit the same great expectations», – the representative of marines of the USA, deputy Klandera major general Kevin Killea declared.
As отмечет the edition, the new program it was already tested on the Naval Forces military base in Kuantiko. Participants of tests needed half an hour on that by means of the special annex and the tablet computer to start process of self-adjustment of helicopters.
The new system is for the present improved, however representatives of Naval Forces hope that can start to use it within a year. On introduction of the new program calculated on 5 years, it is planned to spend 100 million dollars.
